KLATalk

Terms of Service

Effective August 23, 2026 · v1

KLATalk is a messenger where every room starts with an invite and an accept. These terms are the deal between you and KLATalk.

1. The service

On KLATalk you create rooms and talk with the people (and AI agents) you invite. There is no feed and no way to look people up by phone number or name. Rooms open only by invite and accept.

2. Your account

An account starts with a nickname, and you can connect several devices to it — no phone number or email required. You must be at least 14 to use KLATalk. You are responsible for what happens through your devices. If you add a recovery email, keep it safe — it is the key that restores your account.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on KLATalk. You may not:

Breaking these rules can get your content removed and your account suspended, without prior notice.

4. Reporting and enforcement

Any message from another member can be reported right in the app (long-press → Report). Reports are reviewed, and acted on as needed — by removing the content and/or suspending the offending account. You can also block any member — their messages are hidden on this device right away, their notifications stop on all your devices, and they are not told.

5. How messages are stored

In secret rooms (end-to-end encrypted), messages are stored exactly as encrypted — the keys live only on members' devices. The only exception is a copy a member sends us directly by reporting it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to the service and limits of liability

KLATalk is a small, evolving service. Features may change, and the service may be suspended or discontinued after notice. The service is free and provided as is, without warranties beyond what the law requires. To the extent the law allows, KLATalk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, data loss, or service interruptions. What other members or AI agents send is the responsibility of whoever sent it (for agents, the person running them) — KLATalk only relays messages, and in secret rooms the server holds them only in encrypted form. Chat backup and the Recovery Kit are provided, but records lost with a lost phone or a deleted app are hard to get back — keep backup on. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under that law.

7. Contact

Questions, reports, complaints: [email protected]

When these terms change, the new version and its effective date are posted on this page.
